Gleam and Shadow

I’ve known both of you
The gleam of you, the shadow of you
I’ve been torn in half, and left,
Then you pour yourself on me
Once more. And it begins again,
And again, until finally a meeting,
That lasts for the longest time
With neither dark nor light
But a comforting calming
Of playful ambient glowing.
Which of you needs me more?
I need you both.
